A gas cell contains a gas along an optical path. Its physical behavior depends on the gas, pressure, path length, and windows. A housing may also provide connections for gas flow or for a fiber passing through the cell.
In OpticalSetup
The gas cell is deliberately diagram-only. Set its dimensions, optional windows, extension side, gas-port appearance, and transparency to show the hardware context. The transparency control changes the drawing, not optical transmission.
The example sends a beam through the housing. Toggle its windows or change its appearance and the traced path stays the same. A fiber drawn through a gas cell remains an independent fiber path; the housing does not bind to it or change its propagation settings.
No pressure, gas absorption, nonlinear response, window refraction, or flow is calculated. The housing must not be interpreted as a gas-filled-fiber or spectroscopy solver.
